Post: Substitute teaching in Anchorage
 Lori Posted on 7/18/09
Due to some life changes I've decided to leave California
and have always wanted to go to Alaska. A couple years ago
I sort of burned out on teaching but have been substitute
teaching while trying to figure out what I want to do when
I grow up (I'm 47 and still haven't figured it out) anyway,
after a recent tragedy I'm thinking now is the time to make
the jump, or at least within the next six months, so I've
been checking out the MFA program in creative writing (I'm
a writer wannabe)and was wondering about subbing in
Alaska. I was wondering if somebody could give me the
practical advice on that. The department of education can
just give facts but you never get the "real" story. Thank
you in advance for your help
