Post: Interested in Teaching in Alaska
Posted by: Idaho Native on 10/21/09

I am currently in the process of getting a teaching
certificate in the state of Idaho (I will graduate in May).
I am going to be able to teach secondary sciences
(chemistry, biology, physics, and earth science) and I was
wondering how difficult it might be for a new teacher to
    find a job in Alaska.

I am planning on going to the ATP job fair in Seattle in
April. Do you have any advice? Are there certain areas in
Alaska that would be recommended to teach in over others?

I would appreciate any help that you could give me!
    Thank you for your time!
