Post: Chambers County

Posted by Klaire on 5/01/08

I will be moving to Chambers County this Spring. I
retired from teaching in Georgia and would like to teach
in Chambers County or nearby. My problem is Alabama
certification. I have heard it is a real ordeal-much more
complicated and time-consuming than in Georgia or other
southeastern states. Are there any Chambers County people
out there who could advise me? Has anyone on this board
moved to Chambers County from another state? I heard that
a teacher should obtain a job before certification is
complete, that a system has to 'endorse' a teacher. Is
    that just a rumor?
