My husbands job is requiring us to relocate to the Mobile
area. I am currently teaching preschool at a private
school and have been doing so for nearly 14 years. I did
some research and noticed public schools in Alabama start
at Kindergarten. There is also not as many private
schools there. We noticed that across the street from
where we are looking to buy a house, there is a public
school. Do you think there is any chance of them hiring
me? If not for teacher, what about assistant position?
Since we will not have any family, nor friends in the
state to help us out, would they take that into
consideration and also the fact that we will be living
exactly across the street from the school? I heard that
the school system there is strict and they place you/you
can't choose where you want to be employed. Is this
true? Can anyone give me some helpful information to
assist me in continuing what I love to do... I am looking
forward to the move in the upcoming weeks, but not the job
hunting process! Attention to this matter would be
greatly appreciated!
