I thought corporal punishment by a teacher in the schools ended YEARS
ago! I am a teacher and would never feel comfortable paddling someone
else's child. The only person that could paddle students at my former
school was the principal and that was ONLY with parent permission and
often it was the parent that had to request it. I feel that if a teacher
is paddling a student without parent permission he/she is opening
himself/herself up for a lawsuit.
