I have recently received a life changing medical diagnosis.
At retirement I had slected a benefit which allowed for a
survivor benefit for my neice and nephew. Now as I face
this medical crisis I wonder if there is a way to change
that slection so that I reeceive the full retirement
benefit to assist with my medical costs?

I do not see any exceptions listed inthe law.
