It certainly depends on the district. I live in the
Nashville area--there are some districts around here who are
still looking for teachers to fill openings from May, and
there are some districts that might as well not even
advertise openings because they're filled as soon as they're
available.
It would help to get your foot in the door in a "less
desirable" district and then go from there.
In Arkansas, it's more of who you know than what you know.
