I am a math teacher in Cleveland Ohio where I am teaching
Algebra and Geometry at an inner-city school for the last
10 years. I am one of the 600 teachers recently laid off
My husband is a military man and he is transferred to
Denver, CO. I was told that Denver schools are going
through lay offs and there is a hiring freeze and jobs
posted on DPS board are for surplused teachers only. I
called HR and have not received a meaningful answer, some
were really vague and did not provide any answers. If you
can help me to understand the situation in Denver it will
be really helpful. I am thinking on changing my career
path due to luck of teaching jobs almost everywhere.
