I am in need of some help. My husband and I just moved to Colorado Springs a few months ago. I will have my Bachelor's degree in Management and Supervision completed by August 2012. I have always tossed around the thought of teaching. After looking into it a little more, I have definitely decided that it is what I want to do. Since I will have my degree completed in time for next school year, I am going to start substitute teaching so I can gain some experience. I am planning on going for my Master's in Education starting next fall also. My first question: Would you recommend an online accredited school or should I try for a local school? Any school recommendations for either? I am leaning more towards an online school because there is a good chance we will be moving to another Colorado city before I finish my degree.

My next question is: What are some other good ideas to help me gain experience and get the upper hand for hiring while I am working on my Master's degree?

desperate anon I forgot to mention the only happy teachers in my building are the ones who have husbands and wives that make good money. If they get fired, they will still have a house and food to eat. The rest of us are the ones stressed out of our minds.
