Re: Looking for some job advice

Colleges are not going to be telling students not to go into
one career over another. It really is the responsibility of
college students to talk to people in their chosen career to
not only get a sense of the job and the skills involved but
also the job outlook. The elementary market in Connecticut has
been flooded for at least the past 6-8 years...
There are limited jobs as some retire but there are many many
more applicants than jobs.
Getting an "in" in a loca district is THE best bet - as an
intern or a sub or by who you know, sometimes, sadly. OR try
getting a job at a private or parachiol school, which will not
usually pay as much but will provide much needed experience.
