Re: Looking for some job advice
    Posted by Jen on 8/02/08

I have tried those suggestions but I don't even get called in Urban
districts. I have also tried being a building substitute in my
hometown and that didn't work. I wouldn't mind going back for a
reading specialist degree but I am still paying off college loads.

Although you aren't trying to discourage anyone, many candidates
are only certified in one area. Fortunately, elementary positions
are flooded by many. I don't consider that a needed area any more.

I don't mean to sound a little bitter but I am leaving the field
due to lack of jobs. I believe I have done everything I can to
secure one. IT is August and I have had only two calls the end of
    May along with 2 rejections.
