I have worked in DC Public schools for over twenty years
including my student teaching. In this time period I have
applied for numerous educational promotions and each time I
had considerable difficulties before I received the
promotion. It's unfortunate that this school system has not
worked out the problems after all this time. The DC Public
School System continues to have difficulties providing it's
staff with much deserved educational promotions. I assumed
that the administration would welcome teachers who were
consistently trying to improve themselves and the DC
educational program by investing their personal time and
money on graduate level classes. I was unplesantly
surprised each time, and especially this last time since I
have applied over ten times for an educational promotion in
a year and a half time span. To this day I have not
received my educational promotion.
