    Post: DC Teachers Contract Negotiations

Posted by Paul Abowd on 7/09/08

Labor Notes magazine wants to cover the DC teachers'
contract being negotiated right now. Some stories in the
Post have referenced merit-pay as well as an end to
seniority, in exchange for pay raises.

Will these surprising provisions be accepted by teachers if
they are in fact part of the new contract? Obviously its
speculation at this point, but what do you all think? Will
    you support this contract?
