Post: Advice about DC schools and hiring as well

    Posted by help on 4/30/09

I recently applied for an ESL teaching position in DC. I
have a BA in English, MA in TESOL,certified in two states,
experience nationally and internationally, but have not
taken the Praxis Exam in my content area. Will I have any
problems getting hired without taking the exam?

Also, I know most of the schools are crime ridden, but
which ones should be avoided and which ones should I try
    to work in if hired?

    Thanks, Help
