Read Aloud Delaware is now acceptiong registrations for
its annual conference on March 12, 2005 at Caesar Rodney
High School. The all-day event runs from 8:45-3:30 p.m.
The registration fee -- $50 on or before February 21, $60
after -- includes breakfast and lunch.
This conference is ideal for child care providers,
teachers, librarians, and parents who work with children
ages birth through 9 years. Teachers and child care
providers will receive 5 hours credit for attending.
Pam Schiller, Ph.D., author of Start Smart: Building
Brain Power in the Early Years, will be the keynote
speaker. There are 23 workshops from which to choose;
each person attends two workshops. The theme of the
conference is "A Joyful Journey: The Road to Reading."
Workshop topics include sign language, working with
toddlers, music, drama, storytelling, math concepts,
bilingual books, cooking, non-fiction books, puppets, and
phonics.
