Aloha,

Are the public schools on O'ahu currently hiring teachers?
I know a teacher who has been teaching for seven years. He
teaches 5th grade with a Masters degree in administration
and is nationally board certified. He recently won "teacher
of the year" at his school. He is also his grade level
chair. He is a very dedicated teacher. Would it be
difficult for a teacher like this to obtain a position in
Honolulu (in today’s economy)?? He is interested in both
the public and private sectors. He has lived in Hawai'i
before and really would like to move back in one year and
start teaching elementary school. His wife is working on
obtaining her RN license and would like to move back to
Hawai'i as well. The two would like to work hard in Hawai'i
and give back to the community while making Hawai’i a
forever home. Any information would be greatly appreciated!
