It's pretty much impossible here in Iowa too. I'm in a not
so good situation (clueless principal, superintendent is
her best friend, etc,etc) and I'd love to move on, but the
job market is just horrible.

Also, get at least two years of experience elsewhere
before coming to Iowa. With the way teacher evaluations
and the regulations that were signed into law a few years
back, any new teacher would be much better off moving
out of state then jumping through the hoops that have
been set up here. JMHO here....:-)
