Re: Teaching jobs impossible
Posted by Nan on 6/27/07

If she was dressed casually, it's probably because she had
already worked in the school as a sub or in another capacity
and did not feel the need to 'show off' her teacher clothes.

If you can't find a job, I'd wonder what your certification is
in? If it's just "knowing someone" I'd think after subbing
you would "know someone". But you said you were working in a
pre-school? Are the benefits there so good that you can't
work as a substitute? I'm not sure pre-school is going to
count towards teaching experience. I'd try subbing.

I'm a science teacher. I found a job my first year after
student teaching. I did move to a different city, but I think
I would have ended up with one even if I didn't move (it just
would have been in an undesirable school).
