Re: Great districts in Iowa? Moving out of Michigan...![]()

We still have openings in my school district for next year. And as
for things to do in Iowa......you may not have everything in the
town where you live, but you can drive 40 minutes any direction and
there is always something new to do. And when it comes to things to
do in your community...there are more things to get involved in and
make a difference than you could ever have time for. You also have
opportunities to get involved in theater, music, sports, art,
government, politics, and just about anything that interests you.
Just because Iowa is mostly small towns doesn't mean there isn't
anything to do. I agree with the poster who said there is more to
do than a teacher can afford anyway.
One bit of advice, have an open mind when you relocate and don't try
to duplicate the place you are moving from. You will be
disappointed and never really learn to love your new hometown.
