It's a university town and 10 miles away is Pullman, WA, another university town, so you have the benefits of two universities and still being in a small town. I commuted four years to Palouse, WA (17 miles) and later worked in Whitman County (right across the border from Moscow) as an itinerant for ESD 101. Be ready for black ice and grey skies in the winter--but those were wonderful years, nonetheless!
