Praxis 2 Art Content 0134

I have been looking at all the helpful information regarding preparation for the Praxis 2 Art Content test. However, from what I understand the latest test is 0134. It used to be 0133. Most states now require the 0134 test. I think this change became effective Sept.1, 2011. Does anyone know if the content is much different on this latest test? How has it changed? I don't want to study the wrong information. I would appreciate any feedback/recommendations on this latest test. Thanks!

Laurie Woohoo!! I passed!! It wasn't so bad. I had some room to breath on my score. I never took the old test but from what I've seen the new one is much more practical and related to art making, and less to art history. Mary Cook Thanks so much for posting about your experience! I am taking the test next month. How in depth did they go in regards to processes and materials? What did the History part involve? Were there questions on Safety? Film or video production? Any additional details would be much appreciated!

mcsquared I took the Praxis II Art Content today as well. I must say, it was more difficult than I had anticipated. I had studied and felt well prepared, but didn't feel that good about the test. I must say, it was more difficult than I had anticipated. I had studied and felt well prepared, but didn't feel that good about the test. I thought the questions were not well worded. In addition, the online Practice test (I got all the questions correct, it seemed easy) did a poor job in reflecting the actual test. Too many obscure questions and I felt the multiple choice on some questions were pretty subjective. I thought the new test was to better reflect the knowledge needed in teaching art. I don't feel the questions were in line with that. Just my opinion...Would love to hear others opinion. Hope I don't have to take it again, but will know what to expect next time!

KEJ I took the Art Praxis in April..missed by three points..took it again in July and was aghast when the test was in the same exact room as a meeting due in part to space limitations. The envirenment was very distracting ..I missed passing by one point !!!! Uggh !
