I just wanted to take a minute and invite everyone to come
to Atchison for the Amelia Earhart celebration July 18 and
19. Starting with the LakeFest concert Friday evening
(Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton, and Trent Tomlinson ) with
advance tickets being only $25. Saturday includes
activities for all ages on the new downtown pedestrian
mall. Most activities are free ... a variety of music, Mad
Scientist, reptiles up close and personal,arts, crafts,
concessions and many more ...and of course the huge (free)
Amelia birthday cake. And then Saturday evening exciting
aerobotics, music, concessions, and "Concert in the Sky"
fireworks sycronized to music by Paul Austin which is
absolutely one of the best fireworks in the midwest !!
We've enjoyed it the past 11 years and know the 12th year
will be outstanding again.
