    Re: Topeka Schools
    Posted by mary on 12/23/08

    Wow, what a negative post.

You know I think most large cities have a few parts that are
dirty and unsafe, but parts of Topeka are clean, safe, and
up-to-date. The downtown area has been revitalized and has some
fun shopping and beautiful Capitol and State buildings. Even a
great farmers market on weekends in season.

We live about an hour from Topeka and visit there occasionally
and find great shopping/dining/loding facilities. There are some
    beautiful suburbs with excellent schools.

We usually shop in Kansas City, Lawrence, or St. Joseph, Mo just
because they're closer to us, but enjoy going to Topeka, also.

The last time I visited San Francisco I noticed some very dirty
areas. In fact, on our group tour the guide pointed out the
filthy street with homeless people and soup kitchen lines right
    behind the Hilton !

And, during my visit to New Orleans last January I say some
    really dirty scary places.

And Denver has it's share of dirty unkept streets.

Inner-city Dallas is a pretty scary place.

Parts of New York City are dirty and rat-infested.

Have you got my point....don't slam an entire city please.
