Post: Do I join the union?

I am a new teacher. I begin teaching full time next week.
When I filled out my employment papers I was asked If I
wanted to join the union. I have never been in one and
don't know if the money is worth it. My pay is going to be
alot less as a teacher so I don't want to spend any that is
not going to realy benefit me.
