Re: 500 Teaching jobs in Louisville
    Posted by Amber on 8/20/08

If you are certified to teach math or science, you should have no
problem finding a job in the louisville market. However, if you are
certified in another area...your chances are pretty well shot down.
I just finished my Master's and am certified to teach HS social
studies and after having JCPS basically laugh in my face when
inquiring about positions, I have turned my search elsewhere. The
problem is this though: no one is hiring HS social studies
teachers. I have applied to JCPS and EVERY surrounding county PLUS
all the private schools..and nothing..I am still searching for a
job...Guess I will be a sub for a year or so...Good luck to you.
