A couple of ideas:
1. Mammoth Cave; has lodging there are several caving tours
including one that last 6 hours and hiking,camping. Nearby is
Horse Cave Theatre which has a professional troupe and a golf
course is close.
2. Land Between The Lakes has hiking camping houseboat
rentals golf.
3. There is Big Sandy that sits between TN and KY which has
extensive beautiful hiking,nice campgrounds fishing, close by
in Sturgis is a reconstructed coal mine one may tour along
with a train ride up into the mountians
4. If you are into the city the only two places would be
Louisville where there is a lot of shopping from antiques to
malls, the Louisville Slugger Museum, plays, all types of
music venues, parks for jopgging close by is Cinncinati with
the Reds baseball team.
