I'm a 5th grade teacher looking for a Louisiana teacher to sign up for our postcard exchange. If you're interested, go to the following link and input your information.
Hi I'm a highly effective teacher and I know a lot of teachers that are too. However, they are leaving the field of education because of praxis requirements. Teachers do you think praxis is necessary? Should our department of education change laws concerning praxis? Should there be a survey taken among educators to improve it?

I hate to say it, but it doesn't matter whether or not you resign or you let the district fire you. If you want to teach again, it will be difficult if not impossible to do so because on almost all school district applications, you have to disclose any forced resignations, resignations in lieu of dismissals, terminations, etc. The only reason those questions are asked is to weed people out of the initial screening. Then what are you going to do about references or if the district decides to put a "no rehire" designation? Same thing. No teaching job or else you will have to start all over again.

I will add you might want to consult a lawyer just in case you find it difficult to get hired elsewhere if this principal is slandering you.
Are there any retired teachers that taught at L. E. Rabouin High School in the late 60's to early 70's on the chatboard? I know this is a shot in the dark but I do know of one teacher Mr. Russell Bangs who taught PE.
I have an opening in a postcard exchange for a classroom from Louisiana. We will be starting in the next week or so if anyone out there would like to join. Email me at amandaandrews10@gmail.com and I can give you more information. Thanks!
