One way of getting into the system would be to serve as a substitute
teacher. By doing so, administrators can get to know you. This way if
an opening does present itself, you may be the teacher who they ask to
fill the position. A few years I substituted for a month for a teacher
and was offered a full-time position for the following year of school.
