    Post: Mrs. Dowd's Teaching Service

    Posted by Anon on 8/18/08

I am looking for a position with a tutoring company and
Mrs. Dowd's Teaching Service looked appealing as the pay
rate is good and the location is near my home (although I
teach in another county). I was disgusted to find that I
have to sign an affirmation of faith in order to complete
an application. Since this company takes PUBLIC money
(they are an SES provider) wouldn't it be considered
discrimination not to hire me if I happen to not be a
member of the Christian faith? I hold a master's degree
in reading from a highly regarded university and would
love for this company to try to convince me that I am not
qualified for this job. How should I handle this?
