Re: Calling people "bitter" when you don't agree with them..

LOLOL of course I got no job from it....this one just happened and it's
early in the year. Plus...it's not an empty promise. Nobody promised me a
job or anything except for giving my app some extra attention. I already
mentioned last year's situation to you. It's very possible they didn't
have any vacancies in my field, or quite simply decided they didn't like
me. Lead nowhere? It's at least getting beyond the initial stage. For
someone who has no personal connections in the region, that's very
helpful. It beats having my resume sitting in a dark online void going
nowhere. So you got a job from a fair? Doesn't that mean fairs can be
useful? MERC definitely has less networking opportunity because it's so
crowded and busy....but I just don't see how you can claim that getting a
screening interview with an administrator and getting face time with that
administrator will have no value whatsoever. If somebody likes what you
have to say, then you might receive further consideration if a position
isn't rigged already. Why exactly would you say any sort of admin face
time isn't helpful in getting you somewhere? Not all positions are
"connected" My job wasn't connected and I got it, as did some of my
friends. I'm sure you know people too who got positions without
connections. It happens. Also, I'm not calling you bitter because I
disagree with you but the way in which you put your points across.
