In my experience, you have no say over what school you are assigned
to. HR may ask your preference as to what grade level, but it may
not mean much. Every experience is different, but I interviewed at
three schools and was offered one position. I don't know the entire
state, but some counties are not hiring in English/Language Arts
AT ALL, and if they were, it would be someone who had student-
taught there.
