Ok, I don't teach PE, but I do teach in High School and I am
a career changer. I deal with those kids who are not in
Honors or AP classes. It is one of the most rewarding
decisions I have ever made. The kids like the idea that I
know what it is like out there in the "real world." You've
got something to offer. Even if you decide to not teach in
the school system, the classes you'll take to become
certified will serve you well. Perhaps you'd change your
mind and decide to work at the college level, work as a
coach, or work in a fitness center. The idea is that you'll
be doing what you believe in.
