If you are talking about the pyrotechnic bottle rocket, flashpowder must first be prepared. A mixture of potassium perchlorate and aluminium powder must be used. Build a paper tube and wrap it in tape. Fill the tube with the powder mixture and insert a length of cannon fuse into the bottom. This fuse can be purchased at a firworks supply store.
