Hey,
Yes, everything you have read is accurate and can be verified
by going to the district website posted below. You can check
teachgeorgia.com for statewide listings, but if you want to
know more about the district I teach in, check out Gwinnnett
County Public Schools. You will also get ALL your years
experience and degrees. The website will show you the pay
scale.
My wife teaches music, and I teach 7th grade math. Elementary
teachers are in VERY high demand! When we came down to
interview, my sister, who was 58 at the time and teaching in
Minneapolis, came down with us just ot visit Atlanta. She
decided to walk into the job fair for the heck of it, and had
a job in 10 minutes.
I have been working with my alma mater, UW Lacrosse, career
services to help kids find jobs in teaching because as you
know, there are none in WI. I am 34 out of 34 so far since
last year. I volunteered to do the April 5th Midwest Teachers
job fair in WI Rapids to help teachers from WI. This is the
first day of our spring break, but this district has treated
me like I was a member of the family, so the district is
flying me up to open the door. I volunteered to do a job fair
in Madison last summer, and I had 28 kids apply here, and 28
got jobs.
My email is georgiabadger@hotmail.com and I will be glad to
help you find a position if you would like. I spend the
summers at my farm by Mauston WI with my family and you are
welcome anytime there or here!!
Let me know if I can help.
Mark
No comments about Brett Favre please, my family is still in
