Actually all those areas are fairly safe. Eden Prairie is
actually a little bit yuppity if you know what I mean. Columbia
Heights is a good neighborhood for the most part. Buffalo is a
small town that I don't know too much about but it seems nice.
Good luck applying though, because most jobs fetch at least a
hundred applicants. Most of the time much more. I wouldn't be
surprise if EP gets over 200 applicants. Elementary teachers
are a dime a dozen here in Minnesota. I graduated in the fall of
2007 and still don't have a job. Of the people I graduated
with, I think 4 or 5 have a full time teaching job (and three
of those are NOT in Minnesota). But, I guess you never know.
Being a guy helps (if that's the case for you).
