Re: Does anyone teach in Montana and love it?

    What an interesting yet bothersome thread. I lived in Montana for over 20
    years and have been trying to get back ever since. It is stunningly
    beautiful, people are friendly and down to earth, there is so much to do
    and intelligent active people to do it with. I've lived in bush Alaska and
    THAT'S isolated. Montanans are only as isolated as they choose to be. As a
    student there, I received one of the best educations in Bozeman, Mt. I
    moved my children to the Northwest where they slid by because their studies
    were too easy. (There is nothing worse than boredom.)
    There are advantages to being elsewhere and there are places I like but
    Montana, I love. It has gotten considerably more expensive, but if you have
    the resources, you won't be disappointed, not even a little. Contrary to
    the "Yeah, we don't want you statement," Montanans are quite simply not
    like that. You get a few of those everywhere. It's a state with some of the
    best people I've met anywhere.
