Our district is telling the teachers that we cannot administer tests, major quizzes, have projects due on a long list of provided religious holidays.

Is this legal? Can a public school make accommodations for religious holidays without running afoul of the separation clause?
Staying positive I don't know the official rules on this but I always thought that rather than having to avoid a long list of holidays that we needed to provide students the opportunity to make up the tests, etc. without penalty.
