Aren't online courses the best thing since 'control tops?' I
earned 15 credits Online. The courses were only three weeks
and I earned 3 credits per course. You can 'go to class'
anytime, (I went after the kids went to bed). I started in
April and I will receive my raise in September. It sure
beats staying late for the classes offered through the
district. (And waiting another year or two for the +15
raise. My co-workers chose to wait and now they are dreading
attending the in district workshops…where everyone wants to
show everyone else how much they know and what they do in
their classroom. If you have ever attended one of these you
know what I’m referring too. When you just want to
say… ‘Walk a mile in my shoes’. Each classroom has a
different personality and proactive measures are pertinent.
I gained much more from these classes and enjoyed the ease
and this method for professional development. There are a
bunch of classes offered too! It is very convenient and it
was worth every penny!! I particularly benefited from the
simple ideas that teachers from all over the country
contributed. Being a new teacher, (going into 3rd year) the
interaction was exceptionally accommodating. (Admin. should
take some of these courses and notice exciting and creative
ideas that are practiced in other districts. lol) Check it
out...just type University of Phoenix Online in any search
