My husband is going to take a job in Omaha. We will be moving to the suburbs. Any advice on suburbs or which district I might want to look for a job in? I am an experienced teacher.

Jane If the Millard response is so comical, why didn't you mention Ralston, LaVista, Elkhorn, Papillion?

Dawn...do the research and you will find that Millard is the district of choice and has been for many years.

sped teacher So...I want to move back to Nebraska...also in the Omaha area...but I'm concerned. How are the schools financially and are schools hiring???? I just left a meeting at my school here in MO and 6 people found out that their contracts will not be renewed next year. No $$$

daniel buck Hey, I've lived in Omaha all my life you would love the ralston district. I bought a house in the district just so that i could get both my boys into ralston wildewood elementary school... and it is awesome, they both love it.

Sci Teacher I live in Millard and my son just started school there. I teach in Papillion. I started my teaching career with OPS and LOVED it - what made all the difference is the people I worked with. I like the Papillion school where I teach and like the students too.
