Post: Peace day 21 Sept - FREE education resources grades 6-12
A UK non-profit organization, Peace One Day, has just
launched a multimedia Education Resource in the US which
aims to advance active learning in the areas of conflict
resolution, global citizenship, human rights and the link
between sustainability and peace, using the annual [b]UN
International Day of Peace 21 September[/b] as a focus.
Please do encourage all your friends whether they are
teachers, parents, youth leaders or students themselves to
logon to http://education.peaceoneday.org/ and complete the
registration to access this [b]FREE resource[/b] containing
19 student-centred lesson plans and 26 classroom resources
for grades 6-12.
It is a fantastic tool to not only empower students to
engage in making a difference in their schools, communities
and the greater world at large, but also instigates
celebration projects with themes of intercultural relations
in the lead up to Peace Day which is just over a month away.
