Where I teach if a position opens and a family member on the board of
education needs a job,the family member gets the job. It has nothing to do
with credentials or quality teaching.
Thank God for tenure or else I would probably not have a job. I would have
been bumped out long ago just because a connected one needed a job. It's like
a family run business.
If you were able to follow the names here you would see what I mean.
If you can get a friend on a board where you want to work that would be a BIG
plus.
