I recently gave my 60 days notice. I have a ton of sick days banked that I will get nothing for once I leave. Although I don't plan on going crazy with taking them, I plan on being more liberal to take them then I was. I have already taken a few days and my principal is giving me a hard time. What is the worst thing she can do? If she asks me for a doctors note and I don't produce one what can the reproductions be?
ron/nj I would definitely speak to the union if you haven't already. I would think you fall under the general rules even though you gave notice. I would assume a doctor's note is required after so many consecutive sick days. If a teacher has excessive absences, can the board require a doctor's note?
