Just found this site. I'm from Nambe Pueblo, went to Nambe
Pueblo Day School, then Nambe Elem School, and high school
at Pojoaque. Got my BA at UNM, taught for APS, and later for
Santa Fe Indian School and Pojoaque Valley Schools.
Now, I'm a professor in American Indian Studies at the
University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. I study and
write about American Indians in Children's Books. To get to
