Hello,

I am looking to move to Rio Rancho in the next year or 2. I am a
certified Elementary and Special Ed Teacher for New York State.
Does New Mexico have any requirements to teach, or would my
certification from New York be accepted? I have yet to teach at a
school district, but I have be substituting for 3 years. What is
the average salary for a 1st year teacher? I was also wondering if
there was a large demand for teachers in New Mexico? I am looking
to travel up to a half hour from Rio Rancho to teach, are there many
schools in the surrounding areas of Rio Rancho, if so what are the
names of the cities?.
