I currently teach in a terrible district (very rough
school). I have been teaching for twelve years and passed
the NTE. Is it impossible to find art teaching jobs? It's
not easy here in NY. When we relocate, I'm not even sure I
want to continue teaching, but would like to keep my
options open. Does anyone know how New Mexico schools
compare to NYC public schools?? I have done very basic
research - I would appreciate any and all feedback! Thank
you so very much!

They always need subs, but not necessarily in art classes. You can
even pick which schools or areas of town you're willing to sub in,
which age levels, etc. But the sub pay is ridiculously low (like
$8 an hour to start, with no benefits).
