I don't feel that I have much autonomy in New Mexico. I
have taught for 25 years yet I am forced to do PDSA, ACE,
CBMs and a million other acronyms. What happened in this
state to make the PED believe we are unable to teach in the
ways we feel comfortable and have proven ourselves
competent? I may move back to my old state (next door) if I
cannot find a district that believes I can do the job I have
been hired for! It is such a shame because there is so much
to be done here and it is such a beautiful place. Is there
a district in this state that allows teachers to teach
without spending 20% of our time on these required hoops to
jump through?

What district are you in?

I worked in APS and felt like I had a lot of autonomy, but it
was a school that got decent "test scores." If you're at one
that isn't "passing the tests" they give you all sorts of
nonsense to do.
