How do I become a substitute teacher in New Mexico? I have over 60 college credits, which I've heard is required. What else do I need, and where do I go to get a license? Thanks!

Lori You may need to find out how each district handles this. It changes constantly. When I was a sub 18 years ago in Albuquerque, you had to have a teaching license. Then it became anyone with a college degree. I have no idea what it is now. Lori

Angie I just found this site and am curious about the same thing. I know that you have to take a class but I have not found out when or where they are offered. I will call the school system shortly, but thought you may have found out something in the meantime.
