You have been identified as a past/present teacher. I am conducting research on perspectives to gain insight that could benefit principals, teachers, educational governing bodies, and ultimately and most importantly, students.
I seek your participation in the study by completing a one-time online survey lasting approximately 10-20 minutes. Your responses will be anonymous. Hi, I'm a retired teacher who is selling very good used books on Facebook Marketplace. I have anything from board books, to level 1, 2, 3,4 readers, to chapter books for 2nd-4th grade level all in excellent condition. I live near Canal Winchester, east of Columbus. Just put in my name and check it out. I have hundreds of books. Thanks.
Does anybody have any recommendations or advice on what to study/ what I can do to pass the test. I have reviewed all of the practice test questions and reviewed terms as well.. Any other advice?? please and thank you
I'm not a school teacher, however I believe that the problem with stealing happens in all directions such as teachers to teachers, teachers to students, students to teachers, students to students, and everything else. That is why I believe that public school systems are failures in many situations. The system is over corrupt
anyone has info for Oae 003 Assessment of Professional Knowledge Adolescence to Young Adult (7-12): Oae 003 exam. what is the best book to buy? and how is the test itself?
Can someone tell me whether I could get Ohio Professional Teacher Certifacte if I have professional Teacher Certifiace with 11 years of teaching experience Without taking any assessment test. Also, I do have M.Ed in Mathematics.
Please let me know if I am crazy or not. I work in a two teacher department. I take pride in my work, and feel that I do a great job at creating handouts and classroom materials that guide students. My coworker has always taken copies of my work, without asking, and used them as her own, or based her own materials on them.
I have always hated that she does this. I have told her before that I do not like it.
The first day of my teaching job, she walked into school, and asked if she could make copies of my classroom rules.
Really?? A SENIOR teacher sponging work off of a newer teacher?
Anyways...it has always been this way.
Now with the new teacher evaluation system...I REALLY want it to stop. She is piggybacking off of my hard work...and has seniority. And with the new eval system...I have to make sure that I stand apart as the teacher that gets better results, has innovative ideas, and works my butt off!
She even has a folder on her desk that is a collection of my handouts, quizzes, student work, etc., etc. It could very well be a portfolio of my work.
HELP! What should I do?? I have told her how I feel. Our administrators have stressed that we should be doing different things and using our own lesson ideas and materials. But if she sees a pile of copies that I have made, she will definitely swipe one for her folder.
Am I wrong for feeling this way? How do I stop her from taking my materials?
I just feel like it she wants something, I should be in control of what gets shared and what doesn't.
You mean you have no use for teachers who actually work hard at their jobs unlike you. Furious is right when she said that you have never created enough original curriculum to understand how much blood, sweat, and tears goes into it. Everything you have written makes it clear that you are a teacher who does the minimum.
> All she has to do is get off her lazy, martyred rear end and lock her > materials up. End of problem.

I know its been awhile since my original post, but this is still going on, despite locking things up in a file cabinet. Students will often thrown their discarded class materials in the trash or recycle bins. Then she goes in and digs through the stuff. I'm going the copyright route.
I am an educator and reading specialist and live on the southern MA/ northern RI border. I have taught in both states (RI and Mass). Where I live and work, the pace of life is very fast, there is lots of materialism and snobbery, the value system is sports and money. Frankly, we hate it. We cannot be around this any longer. We are looking to move and Ohio is one of the places we are considering. I would love to hear from educators about your experience teaching in this state. In my district, everything (including our evaluations) is linked to test scores and common core standards. That is probably the case everywhere. However, I think it is harder to teach in some states than in others. In your state are the salaries reasonably competitive (relatively speaking)? How's the level of respect for teachers? How's the morale? Any thoughts you have would be greatly appreciated. thank you!

I currently hold a bachelor's degree, year and 8 months experience as a behavioral therapist with autistic kids and 6 months working as a substitute for a private school.
Where can I go to start the process of or find work as a special education teacher?
