My middle school aged son attends with Grandma(retired teacher)
as his learning coach. As a teacher myself, I have been very
impressed with the rigor of the curriculum. For example, the
7th grade science was covering everything my 10th grade
daughter was doing in honors biology in our suburban district.
I doubt it would be possible to teach both for OHVA and public
school because there are scheduled class times when everyone
gets on line and has a class. It's really cool and has been
just the thing for my square peg son. His teachers have liked
the flexibilty of being able to work from home - one to care
for kids and one to care for elderly parents. They also liked
using the technology. All of his teachers had previous
experience in a "brick & mortar" schools before going to OHVA.
Hope this info helps!
