I have been a full time stay at home mom for the last

13 years. I have substituted here and there a little bit.

I live on the west side of Cleveland, in the suburbs...in

the area I live in, there seems to be very little demand

for substitute teachers at all.

I was wondering if any of you teaching out there full time

in Ohio see things changing at all, and more sub jobs

opening up?

I used to teach full time (for several years) before I had

a family.

I had really hoped to sub regularly once my kids were old

enough. Well, they finally are...and I'm getting very

few calls to sub....maybe once a month or so.

When I subbed when my son was in first grade (4 years ago,

as I was lucky enough to have a great sitter...who then

moved...so I became a stay at home mom, as I couldn't find

Sub. teacher Did you try Cleveland Public Schools? I grew up in Rocky River and now live in Columbus. I sub for Columbus City Schools everyday. There is never a day I don't get a call. I know that doesn't help you, but Cleveland might be the same since it is so big. Rocky River, Bay Village, Westlake etc. aren't going to need many subs as they are so small and ...See More
